Equity and Inclusion

We currently have 12 certificated staff of color who bring a wealth of experiences and perspectives to their roles. By prioritizing inclusivity in our hiring practices, our school is dedicated to maintaning a culturally rich environment where students can see themselves reflected in their educators, promoting a sense of belonging and academic success for all.

We have taken proactive steps to create an inclusive environment that helps support its diverse student body and their families by establishing a range of affinity groups. These groups include the Truth Program, aimed at supporting Black families, Gente Unidos for Hispanic families, the Muslim Student Association, Jew Crew for Jewish families, the AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) community, and the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA). Each group provides a platform for families to connect, share experiences, and access resources tailored to their cultural, religious, or identity-specific needs, contributing to a more supportive and understanding school community.

Our school is committed to supporting diverse students by offering professional development opportunities such as Studio Pathways. This program focuses on equipping educators with the tools and strategies needed to effectively meet the needs of students from various backgrounds. We address topics such as cultural competency, equity in education, and inclusive teaching practices, Studio Pathways empowers teachers to create an environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning journey.
